Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to all your questions…

  • This is the most frequently asked question we get! The short answer is no. Each person experiences acupuncture differently and even from treatment to treatment. Some people feel nothing at all. Some may feel heaviness, tingling, warmth, or other sensations during the treatment. We specialize in gentle needling techniques that reduce or eliminate discomfort. There are rare occasions when a person experiences pain or discomfort. We work with you to ensure that your experience is relaxed as possible and will make any and all adjustments to ensure your comfort.

And if acupuncture just isn’t for you, no worries - we provide a number of non-needle treatments.

  • First off, you’re not alone. It’s super common to be afraid of needles, especially since the needles that most of us have been exposed to are the large hollow needles that are used for shots, IVs, and other medical procedures. The needles used for acupuncture treatments are tiny in comparison. Many humans feel more comfortable once they see them in person. But if you can’t get past the heebeegeebees, we offer plenty of treatment options that don’t involve needles. There is more than one way to guide the body. In some cases, it’s even preferable to NOT use needles.

  • A clinical herbalist is trained to work one-on-one with patients to address their specific health challenges and goals. We often are trained in pharmacology and biochemistry, stay up to date on current scientific research about all things herbal medicine and understand how herbs and prescription drugs can potentially affect each other.

  • Maybe! For many chronic conditions, the answer is a responding yes! We have seen great improvement and full recovery for many patients. During your assessment, we will determine if you are a good candidate for treatment and if so create a customized treatment plan. Schedule an assessment to find out more.

  • The investment for an initial evaluation is currently $150 (normally $200) and includes a full review of your health history, current symptoms, evaluations, and more. They usually take 90-120 minutes. Everyone gets a customized plan depending on their specific goals and conditions, what treatments serve you best, and which will deliver the quickest results. You’ll be provided an estimate of your treatment plan cost and timeline after your evaluation.
